A new law may have owners of pets such as “Doug The Pug” and “Marnie The Dog” on edge. If law enforcement deems that you’re taking advantage of your pet by acquiring large brand deals and social clout, you may be at risk.

Law enforcement took the tweets into consideration and quickly acted on the situation by stating that they are actively looking for exploitation of pets on Instagram.

“If an account is pedaling shitty vitamins and essential oils more than posting innocent pictures of their pet, the owner might be going away for a bit. We are also looking at accounts that post captions in the voice of their pet. That shit has got to go.” – a guy on the street claiming to be an off-duty police officer

Posting a picture of your pet is completely acceptable. But when your pet becomes your only stream of income, you may very well be a bad person.
